Driver Scoring Algorithm

Azuga’s Driver Scoring algorithm has been designed to reflect driving risk. Based on data from more than 3,500 commercial fleets, 4 billion cumulative miles, 300 million cumulative trips—plus accident reports—our proprietary scoring models bring an unprecedented level of accuracy to safety assessment.

Driver Score

The algorithm generates a Driver Score for each day’s driving along with component scores for Braking, Speeding and Acceleration. This Driver Score provides an indication of the ‘risk’ associated with the driver during that day while also allowing drivers to be compared to each other and for the same driver to be compared across time. The daily Driver Score averaged over time provides a metric to assess the risks associated with the driver over that period.
