Job Description

We are hiring a senior product manager to own Azuga’s growing business helping fleets improve their safety and helping insurance companies manage the risk of their insured fleets. You will own the product strategy and growth plan for these lines of business.

For the insurance product line, you will take ownership for recently launched offerings for risk management and claims. You will develop the product to deliver increasing value for the insurance carriers while driving pull through of safety products for their fleet customers. Early on, this role will require substantial involvement in defining the product UX. You will partner with the US-based team of a business that we recently acquired as well working with colleagues from across our core product and engineering teams.

For the safety programs product line, you will start with an existing portfolio of solutions. Your role will be to accelerate growth by determining the product strategy and roadmap, defining major features and new products, managing bundles and pricing, articulating the value propositions and working with marketing and sales to shape our execution in the market. You will work closely with product owners and developers for our safety products and the product team responsible for fleet monitoring, while collaborating with people across our organization.

The role will suit someone who is entrepreneurial, able to identify the right goals to pursue and is able to drive execution. You will have a lot of freedom to shape the agenda. We are informal, we make decisions quickly and we’re willing to experiment. We have a friendly, collaborative team that spans many different locations. This role is planned as a permanent home-based position. Some travel may be required to meet with customers and with your Azuga colleagues.

What we are looking for
  • Working with commercial and automotive insurance carriers
  • Working with BI, analytics and performance management software
  • Knowledge of businesses in any of our target industries for fleets
  • Experience with safety and risk management programs at carriers, within fleets or delivered by consultants
  • Working with fleet managers, field operations or owner operator businesses
  • Skills in UX and design
  • Coding skills and past roles as a software developer
Other experience that would be valued
  • 5 to 10 years of product management or otherwise relevant experience -
  • Substantial experience with product strategy, customer and competitive research, positioning products, pricing and working with marketing and sales channels
  • Technically savvy, know what’s possible and be able to speak confidently with developers and customers on technical matters
  • Structured in planning and execution - Flexible intellectual style combining conceptual, empirical, creative and intuitive approaches
  • Strong business acumen and able to think like an owner of the business
  • Understand the various functions of a hardware and SaaS business and be able to collaborate effectively with them
  • Able to develop trusted relationships and influence effectively
